Description

TMC-2001RTS Battery Tester

The TMC-2001RTS is a professional mobile battery tester for maintenance, diagnostics and documentation of stationary battery systems. It is designed for demanding service work on UPS batteries, industrial battery systems and recurring maintenance routes.

The instrument combines fast voltage and resistance measurement with advanced Rel/Rct diagnostics. In addition to the classic electrical internal resistance measurement, the TMC-2001RTS also determines the charge-transfer resistance Rct. This allows users to evaluate both electrical losses and electrochemical changes within a battery block.

Key Advantages

  • Professional battery tester for stationary battery systems, UPS batteries and industrial batteries
  • Measures block voltage, internal resistance, temperature, electrolyte density, total battery voltage and battery current
  • Advanced Rel/Rct diagnostics for a more detailed assessment of battery condition
  • Fast measurement of block voltage, Rel and Rct in approx. 2 seconds
  • Pure block voltage measurement in approx. 0.2 seconds
  • RFID support for reliable battery identification using transponder tags
  • Interval measurement for charge and discharge curves
  • Bluetooth and IrDA data transfer as standard
  • Up to 300,000 measured values can be stored
  • Up to 1,000 battery definitions can be transferred from the CS-Manager software
  • 600 V CAT III safety category for demanding battery system environments

Advanced Rel/Rct Battery Diagnostics

The TMC-2001RTS provides more diagnostic information than a pure 1000 Hz internal resistance measurement. The Rel value represents the electrical, ohmic resistance of the battery block, while the Rct value provides information about charge-transfer behavior at the electrode-electrolyte interface.

This combination helps identify electrical losses as well as electrochemical abnormalities. As a result, battery condition can be assessed in a more differentiated way, especially in stationary battery systems where reliable backup performance is essential.

Designed for Recurring Maintenance and Capacity Tests

The TMC-2001RTS supports structured and repeatable test procedures directly on the instrument. It is suitable for regular inspections, condition-based maintenance, discharge tests, charge monitoring and documentation of capacity tests.

  • Float operation measurements
  • Discharge and charge measurements
  • Resistance measurements
  • Temperature measurements with optional sensor
  • Connector testing within battery systems
  • Electrolyte density measurement via optional DMA35 density meter
  • Interval U for total battery voltage recording
  • Interval U+I for simultaneous voltage and current recording

Efficient On-Site Operation

The tester is compact, portable and designed for mobile service use. Menu-guided measurement functions and clear measurement displays support fast and traceable work directly at the battery system. During resistance measurement, correct acquisition is confirmed acoustically, and individual blocks can be remeasured if required.

Battery systems can be prepared in the CS-Manager software and transferred to the TMC-2001RTS before the service visit. This allows service teams to work with the correct battery definitions, block numbers and limit values on site.

CS-Manager Software Integration

Together with CS-Manager, the TMC-2001RTS becomes part of a complete battery management workflow. Measurement data can be imported, stored, evaluated and documented in a structured SQL database. CS-Manager supports route planning, battery definitions, measurement analysis, history tracking, reports and CSV export.

This makes the system suitable for individual users, service companies and operators managing larger battery inventories across multiple locations.

Typical Applications

  • UPS battery maintenance
  • Stationary battery systems
  • Industrial battery systems
  • Recurring maintenance routes
  • Charge and discharge testing
  • Capacity test documentation
  • Long-term monitoring and reporting of battery condition

Conclusion

The TMC-2001RTS is more than a mobile voltage and internal resistance tester. It combines fast measurement, Rel/Rct diagnostics, RFID assignment, interval recording and CS-Manager documentation in one compact system. It is an ideal solution for users who want to measure, evaluate, compare and document stationary battery systems professionally over the long term.
